If you’re reading this, you’re either interested in working with Leadflask as a marketing and web agency, or you’ve already reached out to us and have begun the process of discovering what we’re all about!

Or you’re one of our family members and you’re reading through our website for fun (hi mom!). But assuming it’s not that…

We’re going to keep this brief, but it’s important that we explain our working process, because it’s not like a lot of other digital agencies you might reach out to. We believe this makes our process extremely effective, but only when it’s in full collaboration with our clients.

Discovery and Planning: Getting to Know Each Other

When we first interact and begin discussing a potential partnership, we’ll want to know a lot about your business before we ever send a proposal for work.

There are several reasons for this:

  1. We select clients carefully and want it to be a good fit for all parties.
  2. We ideally want to work with clients who can utilize the full extent of our services, which is when we’re able to achieve the greatest results.
  3. We want to craft a proposal for you that is catered to your company, not cookie-cutter.

To this end, we’ll schedule a series of discovery meetings (in-person or digitally, depending on convenience), that will walk us through the following:

  1. The inquiry – The first time we meet, and a face-to-face explanation of our processes and expertise.
  2. The discovery session – This helps us learn about your problems and goals. This will coincide with our internal efforts to research both your company and its competitors.
  3. The strategy session – This is the starting point for your marketing strategy. It’s here that we’ll also work with you to create snapshots of ideal users (customer personas) and analyze your existing marketing efforts.
  4. The engagement proposal – We don’t believe in long-term contracts. We want to continually earn your business. But this is our way of asking you if you’d like to move forward, at which point we’ll send a formal proposal of work, with costs.

At the end, you’ll have a brand and website audit, customer personas, and recommendations for improvement

Let’s be clear on that last point: You’ll get that work for free! Competitor analyses, recommended user personas to help focus your marketing efforts, and an audit of your existing digital presence.

We provide value to you before you’ve ever given us a penny. And it’s because we believe in our work, and believe you’ll want to work with us once you’ve seen us in action.

Avoiding the Cookie Cutter Approach

While many agencies do great work, some agencies will simply run an automated report in one of their software tools that spits out some website recommendations for SEO improvement, then present a plan before knowing much about your business.

It’s not that these reports are bad. They may even have actionable insights. It’s that this is the least amount of work a marketing agency can do, and it’s only scratching the surface of the potential to create a spectacular digital presence.

And formulaic approaches to marketing can still benefit many companies who have zero strategy currently. But it’s not catered to your business. And it limits your potential, since solutions that work for one company won’t make any sense for another.

We’ll be happy to create a technical SEO website report for you, in addition to everything else we do. But if we stop there, we’re not doing our job.

Continuous Improvement: Our Core Principles

Another aspect of a lot of agency work is that a third party will build a website for you or execute a campaign, but then your relationship with them ends.

This is not how we prefer to work with clients, because we’ll never do our best work in one-and-done campaigns.

We believe in creating long-term partnerships with the companies we work for. This allows us to continually analyze results and improve on marketing channels.

Website conversions? Paid ad ROI? Content marketing strategy? It’s never going to be as good as it can be in Version 1. But in subscribing to this philosophy, we can push further into marketing success than we could with a limited, one-and-done project.

If you’re only looking for a one-off project, we may not be the right fit for you.

At Leadflask, we believe in this process of continually improving, and so do our clients. And together, we’re able to build stronger, more authoritative brands.
